Frank Newton
Biography
Frank Newton serves as Of Counsel with Alvarez Stauffer Bremer PLLC. Prior to that, he worked as an attorney with Norton Rose Fulbright LLP (Fulbright & Jaworski) since 1988. He retired from Norton Rose Fulbright in December 2022. His legal practice involves litigation including general tort, personal injury, product liability defense, toxic torts, and insurance defense. He focused on premises liability, including security issues and industrial accidents, DTPA claims, vehicular accident matters, toxic torts, and fiduciary litigation. He has had an active trial practice in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Newton has worked on numerous matters involving fatalities and catastrophic injuries including fires and explosions, burns, electrocutions, paralysis, etc. in industrial, highway, and railroad accidents. He has also developed specialized knowledge in medical and scientific fields including neurology, toxicology, myelopathy, orthopedics, pulmonology, cognitive impairment, psychiatry, psychology, warnings and human factors.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Newton worked for 3 years as a corrections officer for the Texas Department of Corrections, and 8 years in law enforcement with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department (Captain) and the District Attorney’s Office, 9th Judicial District of Texas (Investigator).
